Tips in Travelling to Vancouver, Canada on December (7-day Itinerary)

If you are fond of cold weather, Canada is one of the best places where you can have what you’re looking for. The temperature during my 7-day stay was ranging from 6 to 12 degrees Celsius. We travelled in Canada from Dec. 5- Dec 13 and we did have the entire 7-days packed with trips but with great relaxation. Sometimes, you go in a vacation and you’d want to have time to visit all the great places but you've sacrificed your time to sleep and relax. Well, our trip wasn't like that.

To achieve that, let me share with you what my Itinerary was:

FLIGHT ITINERARY

Carrier: China Southern Airlines

Going to Canada
08:00am-12nn: Changi SG- Guangzhou (4-hour flight)
12nn-2pm: Stop over to Guangzhou- This is really enough time for completing Immigration without getting so bored waiting for your next flight.
2pm- 9:40am- Guangzhou to Vancouver Terminal M (17-hour flight)
COMMENT: Over-all Experience was great. The only thing that we didn’t like was that you have to go down the plane and run towards the bus to bring you to the Terminal. It was a hassle especially when it rained and everyone was queuing down without a shelter. It was also cold in Guangzhou in December so-

TIP: Bring an umbrella inside your hand-carry luggage and prepare your coat as you go down. Preferably, the water resistant coat you plan to use for snow.

Last Day in Canada: Whistler, Tantalus, FlyOver Canada, Fairmont Pacific Rim

Day 7: 2nd day in WHISTLER:

We woke up early as hubby and I wanted to explore Whistler during day time. We had our breakfast in the hotel and the food was average for me. It is a decent breakfast but nothing really special as the choices were few.

Early morning walk, we were stunned by the magnificent view that Whistler has to offer.

Whistler, British Columbia

Day 6: SNOWBOARDING

We woke up early in the morning as we’re so excited for the highlight of our trip. We went ahead to Whistler, BC.

Whistler Village hosted 2010 Olympics

Whistler BC is located in the North of Vancouver, known for having the largest skiable area in North America. It has more than 8,000 acres over 2 mountains- Whistler and Blackcomb. It has roughtly 12m of annual snowfall too. This is a popular local and tourist destination and we are so excited to experience snow in North America.

Victoria, British Columbia (US- Canada Trip Part 2)

Day 3: Bonding with the Cousins

Victoria, British Columbia

Victoria, is the capital of British Columbia and is known to be the “Garden City”. It is a popular tourist destination and because Aunt Grace is from this city, we really have to spend time here.

From Vancouver, it is an almost 2-hour travel via BC Ferries.

US- Canada Trip (Day 1 & 2)

This blog post really took a long time as I got busy with the Yuletide season, with my new born baby (during that time), and with preparing myself to get back to work. But let me give you a taste of the very first out-of-Asia trip that my husband and I had.

Hubby decided to take a break, more for me, as he predicted that I may have post-partum for having 2 babies in 2 years. Hahaha.. Though the mood swings happened during pregnancy, I guess this was a good gift for me as I was really relieved of all the stress. It was hard at first since the kids weren’t with us and I have been thinking about them quite often. But hubby reminded me that we should be partners of one another first- I should be a wife first before being a mother. So I began to enjoy the trip then.
